Gerd Wolff Maschinenfabrik, a maker of bkm strip lines, has joined the Edelmann Technology group of companies, effective September 1. Gerd Wolff’s product portfolio includes slitting and cut-to-length lines, duo/quarto-cold rolling stands, coiler lines plus the retrofitting of existing lines. The company’s practical ideas, customized solutions and individual developments for bkm strip lines offer customers advantages.
 
During its 70 years in existence, Co. Edelmann has introuduced innovation into the textile and nonwovens industries. In 2011, PSA Technology, of Bitburg, Germany, was added to the group, followed by BW Technology of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock in 2012. In 2014 Co. Edelmann Technology, LP in Rocky Mount, VA, was founded.
 
Together with Gerd Wolff, the group of companies offers winding and slitting machines and the respective solutions for nonwovens, paper, foil, laminates, aluminum and sheet metal. With the technical solutions covered by the group of companies, a wide variety of goods can be processed—from rolls with a surface weight of just 7 gsm up to sheet metal 11 mm thick, slitting widths ranging  from 3 millimeters to 6 meters and diameters from just a few centimeters up to 3.6 meters or more than 30 tons.
